I was one of 49 finalists chosen from across Canada for the 2017 Salt Spring National Art Prize. To recognize, showcase and publicize the accomplishments of Canadian talent in the realms of two-dimensional and three-dimensional art, Salt Spring Island Arts Council established one of the very few national, juried competitions open to Canadian and permanent resident artists. Having won an “Emerging Artists by Emerging Curator Award” at the 2019 Toronto Outdoor Art Fair, I had the privilege of being invited back for the July, 2020 edition.
