This exhibition brings together work from eleven artists (myself included) who participated in Gallery 44’s third annual Low Res Photo Intensive course. Over ten weeks they have intensively developed their practices though collaborative exercises and collective learning. The works in this exhibition are all representative of more extensive, ongoing projects. They are presented with the intention of opening up dialogue for larger conversations to come.
My image, “Pease Sands Letter” is the first visual iteration of a new long-term project I have embarked on called, “The Bicycle Letters”. This project combines topographical and landscape images from Scotland that reflect the locations where my Grandfather wrote his letters to my Grandmother during The Great War.
“Pease Sands” is on display until August 23rd.
